Welcome to the Highlander Studios blog.

I won't promise any earth shattering revelations here. What I will be trying to do is post some new products as I release them, share some thoughts on gaming and show some pics of games and other stuff that I enjoy. So come in and make yourselves at home.

Big Freakin' Rats 'n at

Saturday was a busy day here at chez Campbell. Chili to be made, beer to brew and a 10 pound box of lead from Old Glory to sort. Well it took a few days to get back to the sorting after the weekend, but we now have some new Goblin Factory figures for sale on the website.

First up are two rat men codes. Don was having trouble coming up with a name for them so I politely suggested "big f-ing rats." While that may not end up being their official name, the BFR product code is now attached to them. So, without further ado, I present:

     BFR-01 Rat Men w/Swords

And BFR-02 Rat Men w/ Spears

They were sculpted by the legendary Bob Charrette of Parroom Station and other fame. These figures are 28mm and each rat is roughly human sized. Each pack contains 6 different poses; 1 of each pose.

Three other codes came packed in this box of figures. I'm pleased to present Goblin Factory's first 3 packs of Oriental Goblins.

      OGOB-01 Goblin Ashigaru Command

     OGOB-02 Goblin Ashigaru w/Yari

      OGOB-03 Goblin Ashigaru w/Naginata

These were sculpted by me. The command pack has 2 figures in it with a sprue of 3 different helmet crests. The yari and naginata packs each have 6 different figures; 1 pose of each. These are sized to use for 28mm gaming and stand 22-23mm sole to top of the head.

Our web designer seems to have gone walkabout. So while he is incommunicado I will be taking care of sales for the new items at the Highlander Studios, Inc. web store. Here's the direct link to the Goblin Factory page. Buy Big Freakin' Rats Here.

Any questions on future releases should be directed to Don. I am allowed to say that I'll be continuing work on the goblin ninjas and starting work on goblin ashigaru w/ swords early next month.

Are the rats' weapons loose or attached? I can see lots of potential!
